About Us

  We at Wild Meadow Baptist Church left our home at the "Log Church" in August of 2004. We walked the two miles from the old church to the new church carrying the same "Spirit Of Unity" with us.

  We have grown to about 120 members since that time. The average attendance is now at about 120 on Sunday morning. We have people from all walks of life attending and worshiping together.

  We are a traditional church with the old hymns of worship being sung for our services. The Word of God is preached and lives are being changed. The congregation is a loving, friendly group of people who love the Lord and others. At Wild Meadow Baptist Church you aren't a visitor but once. We try to create an atmosphere where people want to stay and become a regular worshiper with us.

  The pastor, Lowell O'Dell, has been leading the "Flock" at Wild Meadow Baptist Church since February 1998.

  We are a conservative based church where the Bible is the book we preach, teach, and live by. We believe it to be the infallible Word of God. We are independent and are governed by the Board of Deacons and the Congregation.

  Wild Meadow Baptist Church has a Mens and Womens Group that meets the first Monday in every month at 7:00pm. We have a Nursery available for the smaller children.

  Our vision for the future is to increase our Sunday School attendance and the dedication of who all attend to the Ministry of Jesus Christ. And also, to evangelize the community and surrounding communities in which we live. Our goal is to make "YOU" a part of our family at Wild Meadow Baptist Church.

  We, the church of Jesus Christ of Wild Meadow Baptist are constituted on the following faith.

Article 1.    We Believe in the only true and living God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth and the things therein contained.

Article 2.    We Believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, who is Head and King of His Church

Article 3.    We believe in the Holy Ghost, the Sealer and Applier of the redemption purchased by Christ.

Article 4.    We believe in the Father, Son, And Holy Ghost and these three are one.

Article 5.    We believe all scriptures to be the truth and take the New Testament for our only rule of faith and practice, nothing to be taken from it nor added to it.

Article 6.    We believe in the free atonement of Jesus Christ and that He tasted death for men and women upon the terms of the gospel.

Article 7.    We believe that repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ are necessary previous to baptism and that immersion is the only right way of administering the ordinance.

Article 8.    We believe that Christ has but one true gospel church and that will finally persevere through grace of glory.

Article 9.    We believe in the communion of the Lord's Supper, that is, the taking of the bread and wine by the Church of Jesus Christ in Commemoration of the death and suffering of the Son of God until his second coming.

Article 10.   We believe that feet washing is an ordinance of Jesus Christ and ought to be observed and kept up by His Church until His second coming.

Article 11.   We believe that Jesus Christ is the first resurrection from the dead and that He lives forever.

Article 12.   We believe the resurrection of the just and the unjust.

Article 13.   We believe in the everlasting punishment of the wicked and the eternal happiness of the righteous..
